As of October 16, 2023, in order for foreigners obtaining a Turkish Residence Permit (TRC) based on ownership (TAPU), the minimum threshold for property value required has been increased from 75,000 dollars to 200,000 dollars. This implies that for properties acquired before this date, the previous thresholds of $75,000 for metropolitan areas and $50,000 for other cities will still be applicable. In other words the extension of recent Turkish Residence Permit applications by owning a property will not be effected by this rule.
Addition to this amount, the purchased property should not be in neighborhoods where residence permit applications are restricted.
